George Schriver

Owner, Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer

With over 40 years of experience in funeral service, George R. Schriver brings dedication and compassion to the families he serves. Born and raised in Aberdeen, South Dakota, George is the youngest of eight children. He graduated from Roncalli High School in 1981 and attended Northern State University before earning his degree in mortuary science from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in 1984.

Since then, George has remained committed to the family business and the families of his community, providing guidance and care during some of life’s most difficult moments. His decades of service reflect a lifelong commitment to professionalism, integrity, and supporting those who are grieving with empathy and respect.

In 1995, George married Stacy (Lindquist) Schriver, and together they’ve raised four children—Olivia, Sophia, Julia, and Will—instilling strong family values.

A lifelong animal lover, George expanded the family business to include Pets At Rest Cremation Services, offering compassionate care for beloved pets as well - because pets are family too.

Stacy Schriver

Owner ~ Funeral Director's Assistant

Stacy Schriver is a lifelong Aberdeen resident and also a graduate of Roncalli High School. She continued her education at Presentation College, earning her degree in nursing and becoming a Registered Nurse. Throughout her career, Stacy provided compassionate care to patients at Sanford Health and, in the later years of her nursing journey, found deep fulfillment serving Veterans at the local V.A. clinic.


After many years in healthcare, Stacy retired from nursing to support her husband, George, in the family funeral home. Her background in nursing and dedication to helping others bring a unique sense of empathy and care to the families they serve together.

Julia Schriver

Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer

Julia Schriver was born and raised in Aberdeen, SD. For as long as she can remember, she wanted to be a funeral director, inspired by her family’s dedication to serving others. She graduated from Roncalli High School and went on to attend Northern State University, where she earned a business degree and played soccer for two years. She then pursued mortuary science in Des Moines, Iowa, while completing her apprenticeship at Heritage Funeral Home in Sioux Falls. In 2024, she became a licensed funeral director and embalmer after passing the National Board Exams.

A third-generation funeral director, Julia is honored to continue her family’s legacy. With professionalism, empathy, and respect, she is dedicated to guiding families through life’s most difficult moments and providing meaningful support to her community.

Madeline Breidenbach

Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer

Madeline “Maddie” Breidenbach was born and raised in Aberdeen, SD, where she graduated from Aberdeen Central High School in 2019. She went on to attend Northern State University, earning her Bachelor’s Degree in General Studies with a strong emphasis on psychology in 2022.

In 2021, Maddie began working as an apprentice at Schriver’s, where she discovered her passion for the funeral service industry. Motivated by this newfound calling, she attended Des Moines Area Community College in Ankeny, IA, to complete mortuary school. After graduating and passing her board exams, Maddie became a Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer in April 2024.

With a unique combination of academic experience and empathy, Maddie brings both care and professionalism to her role, providing exceptional service to families during their most difficult times.
