     Beverly Anna (Rux) Boulais, 87, of Aberdeen, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2016, at ManorCare Health Services in Aberdeen.

     Her funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 23, 2016, at Zion Lutheran Church, 1732 South Main St., Aberdeen, with Pastor Erin Heidelberger officiating.

     Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Aberdeen.

     Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Thursday, at the mortuary and one hour before the service at the church on Friday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society or the Aberdeen Area Humane Society.

     Beverly Anna Rux was born September 2, 1929, to Emil T. and Myrtle (Johnson) Rux in Claremont, SD.  She attended elementary and junior high school in Aberdeen and graduated from Aberdeen Central High School with the Class of 1947.

     Beverly was united in marriage to Dwain Boulais on March 13, 1948, in Aberdeen.  Their union was blessed with two sons, Ronald and Randall.  The family made Aberdeen their home, where Beverly was employed at J.J. Newberry for two years before beginning work with Mercury Cleaners in 1952.   In 1960, Beverly left Mercury Cleaners and began working for Sears Roebuck.  While employed with Sears she worked in various departments including:  yard goods, infant wear, men’s wear, plumbing, and appliances and was often recognized as the top salesperson in her department.  She remained employed with them until the time of her retirement, when the store closed.  Beverly and Dwain shared 51 years of marriage before he passed away on June 7, 1999.  She continued to reside in Aberdeen until her death.

     Beverly was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Aberdeen.  In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, canning, and baking.  Beverly was a lively, generous, woman who was not afraid of hard work.  She was also a true animal lover.  

     Surviving Beverly are her sons:  Ronald D. (Penny) Boulais of Aberdeen and Randall A. (Regi) Boulais of Buckeye, AZ; two grandchildren:  Scott Randall (fiancé Rachel) Boulais of Monroe, LA and Kari Ann (Preston) Cooling of Gilbert, AZ; two great-grandchildren:  Declan and Lia Cooling, both of Gilbert, AZ; three brothers: Forest P. (Marlys) Rux, Travis D. (Theresa) Rux and Thomas E. (Kathy) Rux, all of Aberdeen; three sisters:  Judy Johnston of Groton, SD, Deliah Williams of Bath, SD and Marcia (Delano) Preszler of Rapid City, SD; brother-in-law, Roger Remien; and sisters-in-law, Ethel Rux and Rosemary Rux.

         Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Dwain; her parents, Emil and Myrtle; three brothers:  John B. Rux, Robert W. Rux and Delmer D. Rux; and three sisters: Forestta Remien, Veda Larson and Roberta Newell.
