William R. Goode, 59, of Aberdeen, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2020, at his home.
His wishes were to be cremated and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at his daughter’s home at a later date.
Schriver’s Memorial Mortuary and Crematory, 414 5th Avenue NW, Aberdeen, is in charge of arrangements.

William R. Goode was born September 9, 1960, in Cincinnati, OH to Bill and Iva Goode. He was raised in Tipp City, OH, where he attended school and graduated from high school.
William entered the United States Army in 1976 and served as a Military Police Officer until his honorable discharge in 1980.
Upon returning to Ohio, he attended Edison State Community College in Piqua, where he graduated with an Associate Degree in Political Science. William then began his career with KTH Trucking Company as Distribution Center Supervisor. He remained working with KTH for many years until becoming disabled due to cataracts and glaucoma, which rendered him legally blind. In July of 2019, William moved to Aberdeen to be closer to family and continued to make Aberdeen his home until the time of his death.
William enjoyed music and loved playing his guitar. He was also an avid Cincinnati Bengals football fan.
Grateful for sharing William’s life are his children: Jeff (Nichole) Goode of Piqua, OH, Sabrine (Todd) Shirley of Aberdeen, SD, Jennifer Dye of Greenville, OH, Amanda Goode of Troy, OH and Stephanie Cambell of West Milton, OH; his step-son, Roger Goode of West Milton, OH; 15 grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; his parents, Bill and Iva Goode of Virginia Beach, VA; and two brothers, Larry Goode and Jimmy Goode.
William was preceded in death by his grandparents.
