Virginia (Ginny) M. Clark, 87, of Aberdeen, SD, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at Bethesda Home in Aberdeen.
A Memorial Service will be 10:30 am, Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Schriver’s Memorial Chapel with Pastor Derek Baum of Aldersgate Church officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery following the service. A time of fellowship and a luncheon will follow the burial.

Ginny was born to Effie (Forbes) and Leo Deck on February 12th, 1936, in Webster, SD. She attended the Lily, SD school through the 9th grade and then attended and graduated from Aberdeen Central High School in 1954.
On July 2nd, 1966, Ginny married Charles (Charlie) Clark in Aberdeen.
Ginny was proud of her 37 years of service with the Aberdeen Public Schools. She started working for the school district in high school with most of her career in the business office, retiring in 1991 as acting business manager. Her work with the district continued with volunteering at the old Central High School Alumni Room. She and her husband Charlie were one of the first to do so.
Ginny enjoyed animals when she was young that carried on throughout her life. Growing up on a farm, she loved to feed the horses with her father. As an adult, she cared for many cats. She was active with the Humane Society and worked many years at the Paw Rummage Sale.
Ginny was a member of Beta Sigma Phi for over 50 years and co-chaired a First Lady Tea. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, now Aldersgate, where she served on several committees.
Ginny loved her family and enjoyed life living close to her sisters. Grateful for sharing in Ginny’s life are her stepchildren, Scott (Patty) Clark of Strawberry Point, Iowa, Kathi (Bill) Fox of Evans, Georgia, and Russ (Hyon) Clark of Lenexa Kansas; five step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; her sister Marcella (Vernon) Bunsness; sister-in-law, Bonnie Jo Davis of Bentonville, Arkansas; aunt-in-law, Nita Geranen of Aberdeen, SD; three nieces; and six nephews; many cousins and dear friends.
She was proceeded in death by her parents; husband Charlie; and sisters Leona (George) Schuller and Henrietta (Walter) Brendel.
In respect to those with allergies, Ginny requested no flowers, instead, memorials may be given to the charity of your choice.
