Tim was born May 9, 1958, to Robert E. and Dorothy K. (Coyle) Hixon in Aberdeen, SD, and moved to Mina Lake at the age of 12. He graduated from Aberdeen Central High School in 1976. He met Gayle, his wife of 43 years in Aberdeen. They lived in Aberdeen and were blessed with three wonderful children that meant the world to them. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. As his children were growing up, he volunteered at the BMX track for years, rarely missing any of the kid’s races. Tim was an outdoorsman who loved hunting, and fishing with his dad and the kids. He loved watching sports on TV, with football as his favorite. Tim also enjoyed spending time with his dogs. Learning from his dad, Tim became quite the handyman taking on construction of a basement and garage more than once. While sick, Tim’s favorite pastime was reading to his granddaughter, Haven. His sincere wish is that she will grow up with a passion for reading.

Tim had a long 41-year career at C&C Vending/Pepsi. He was a dedicated and hard-working man who loved to visit with people. He started off as a driver and worked his way into a supervisory position. Tim was kind and generous with his time and knowledge. With a goofy grin, twinkle in his eye, and vice-like grip, Tim will always be remembered and cherished by those who knew him.

He leaves behind his wife Gayle; son, Ryan (Tara) Hixon; daughter, Jaymi Hixon; granddaughter, Haven; brothers, Ron of CA and Rick (Dorothy) of AZ; sister, Christie (Paul) Axtman of WA; in addition to many other family members and friends.

Tim was preceded in death by his son, Brandon; grandchildren, baby Hixon and Everly Rose Hixon; both his parents; his sister-in-law, Jackie Hixon; nephew, Christopher; and nieces, Dawn and Charity.
