Terry Lynn Roettele

Terry Lynn Roettele, 51, of Kansas City, MO, and formerly of Aberdeen, SD, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 8, 2021, at his home.

Public visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, January 15, 2021, at Schriver's Memorial Mortuary and Crematory, 414 5th Ave NW, Aberdeen, SD.

No formal services will be held at this time.

Burial, with military honors, will take place at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO, at a later date.

Terry Lynn Roettele was born September 30, 1969, in Aberdeen, SD to Lynn (Roettele) Frohling. He attended school in Hecla, SD and graduated from Hecla High School with the Class of 1988. Terry served in the Army National Guard for two years before enlisting in the United Sates Navy in April of 1989 and serving his country during Desert Storm. Following his honorable discharge in March of 1995, he returned to Aberdeen. Terry was united in marriage to Darcy Krigbaum in 2012 in Aberdeen. In 2013, the couple moved to Kansas City, MO for work. At the time of his passing, he was employed for BGIS. Terry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, stepfather, brother, and son. He was a member of the Patriot Guard Riders, where he served as Ride Captain. Terry enjoyed attending numerous events with his wife, Darcy, while traveling on his motorcycle and touring the country. He also loved attending music concerts and sporting events and was an avid fan of the Kansas City Royals, Chiefs, and Mavericks.

Grateful to have shared Terry's life is his wife, Darcy Roettele; his mother, Lynn Frohling; father and mother-in-law, Lyle and Sue Smith; his daughter, Casandra (Don) Butler; stepchildren: Shannon Morrison, Aubrey Johnson and Tika (Greg) Ketterling; seven grandchildren; his sister, Stacie (Octavian) Roman; his brother, Eric Frohling; sister-in-law, Darla (Bryce) Beaman; brothers-in-law, Darin Fahlsing and Neale (Jennifer) Fahlsing; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and one nephew. Terry also held a special place in his heart for his beloved dogs: Sofie, Molly, Harley, and Sammie.

Terry was preceded in death by his stepfather, Jerry Frohling; his maternal and paternal grandparents; his uncles, Dallas and Troy Roettele; his aunt, Renee Idler; niece, Shelby Linder; and stepson, Mitchell Morrison.
