Terrie Anne Frerichs

Terrie Anne Frerichs, 61, of Columbia, SD, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Avera St. Luke’s Hospital, Aberdeen, SD.

Private Mass of Christian Burial is 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Aberdeen, with Father Michael Griffin officiating.

Private liturgical wake and rosary led by Deacon Pete Mehlhaff will be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, March 29, 2021 at Schriver’s Memorial Mortuary.

Burial is at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Aberdeen, SD.

Terrie Anne Most was born on March 25, 1960 to Sondra Most in Belle Fourche, SD. At a young age her mother Sondra passed away, and Terrie was adopted and raised by her grandparents, John and Anne Most. After Terrie graduated high school, she then moved to Aberdeen and started to work at several local restaurants as a waitress. She later started working at Avera St. Luke’s Hospital.  

Terrie met the love of her life Jeff Frerichs and they were married on June 23, 2000. Terrie continued to work at Avera St. Luke’s Hospital for over 20 years where she was still employed at the time of her death as a Provider Based Specialist. She was always trying to further her education by taking online classes to better herself and go the extra mile for her employment.

Terrie enjoyed country living, being outdoors, riding her Harley, and going on road trips. She also enjoyed going to rummage sales and second-hand thrift stores, making jigsaw puzzles, writing poetry, her cats, watching her favorite daytime soap operas, and listening to rock-n-roll music.  On cold days, Terrie enjoyed warming up by the wood burning stove in her home.  In the summer, she could be found relaxing on her deck and grilling food.

Grateful for having shared her life is her husband; sisters, Kay (Rick) Davis and Tracy Halvorsen; brother, Todd Halvorsen; mother-in-law, JoAnn Frerichs; brother-in-law, Scott (Melanie) Frerichs and their son Hunter; sister-in-law, Patricia (Scott) Brunmaier; niece, Channa Christensen; and great niece, Karlei Medrano.

Terrie is preceeded in death by her parents; grandparents; sister, Irene “Rene” Ganje; uncle, Carl Most; and father-in-law, LaVon Frerichs.
