Sharon Lea Bader, 79, of Aberdeen, SD, passed away Monday, December 20, 2021 at Avantara Nursing Home in Redfield.
Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m., Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Schriver’s Memorial Mortuary and Crematory, Aberdeen. Pastor Lou Whitmer of North Highland United Methodist Church will be officiating. A time of fellowship and refreshments will follow the service at Schriver’s Memorial Fellowship Center.
Burial will be at Wishek, ND at a later date.

Visitation will be 5-7pm Wednesday, December 29, 2021 and one hour prior to the service Thursday all at the mortuary.
Sharon Lea Messerole was born April 4, 1942, to Luverne and Pearl (Henle) Messerole. She was raised in Clark, South Dakota where she graduated from Clark High School.
Sharon married the love of her life Vernon (Shorty) Bader on April 5, 1993 and they shared a home together until the time of his death in 1996.
Sharon worked for Northwestern Bell for many years, and later worked for the American News until her health declined. She also sold Avon for many years. Sharon enjoyed spending time with friends and family, cooking, and baking. She loved listening to oldies music, her favorite being Elvis. On Sundays, Sharon and Shorty loved going dancing at the body shop.
Sharon is survived by: one son Jason (Lynette) Messerole of Warner, SD; one sister Shirley (Don) Robson of Tracy, CA; two grandchildren: Paige (Chad) Wieseler of Alexandria, SD, and Tanah Messerole and her special friend Collin Cady of Aberdeen, SD; three great-grandchildren: Ridgely, Hallie, and Kaia; one uncle: Donnie Dittus.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
