Ron “Renegade” Anderson, 61, of Aberdeen, SD, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2024, at his home.

Ron’s wishes were to be cremated and a time for family to reminisce. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Friday, March 1, 2024, at Schriver’s Memorial Chapel.

Ron Anderson was born March 28, 1962, in Aberdeen, SD, to Dale and Shirley (Spear) Anderson. He grew up in Turton, SD, and graduated from Doland High School in 1980. Ron eventually moved to Watertown, SD, where he met Geri Mosser. They were united in marriage on December 15, 1984, in Milbank, SD. The pair later moved to Aberdeen, SD, where they made their home. Three children were born into this union: Stacy, Jenna, and Jordan.

He began farming with his family at a young age. After high school, he moved to Texas to begin custom combining and driving semi-trucks. His career provided him the opportunity to do what he loved most, which was seeing the country while listening to music, and meeting good friends along the way. Later, when his kids came along he had various jobs doing what he loved. Ron enjoyed meeting new people that he would refer to as ‘a good guy’ while sharing his stories with everyone.

Ron loved fishing, hunting, and riding, ‘Marge,’ his Harley. He also enjoyed playing pool and teaching his grandkids how to shoot pool. Ron was an avid Vikings fan, New York Yankees baseball fan, and loved watching NASCAR races. Ron was known to always have a story or joke for every occasion, and put a smile on everyone’s face.

Grateful to have shared Ron’s life are his wife of 39 years, Geri; children: Stacy “Kitten” Anderson, Jenna (Matt) Trevor, and Jordan (Karlee) Anderson; six grandchildren: Noah, Kennedy “Bumble Bee,” Bennett, Mylee, Griffin, and Wyatt; three brothers: Reed (Debra) Anderson, Tim (Paul) Anderson; and Todd Anderson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Tammy Haber.

Ron was loved by many and will be missed by all.
