Robert Zerr Obituary

Robert Zerr, 78, of Mobridge, formerly Aberdeen, passed away Thursday, February 24, 2022, at the Mobridge Regional Hospital.

A private Funeral Service will be held at Schriver’s Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, March 2, 2022. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Robert John Zerr was born on August 30, 1943, to John and Eva (Ell) Zerr. He grew up and attended school in Aberdeen, South Dakota where he graduated from High School.

Robert married Barb Cotman on August 1, 1964, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Aberdeen.

After high school, Robert began working for Northwestern Public Service Company where he was a lineman for 35 years.

He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also loved to be outdoors and enjoyed fishing.  Robert liked being the boss and always wanted to make the decisions. He didn’t necessarily like to plant and take care of the garden, but he enjoyed picking cucumbers.

Robert is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barb, of Mobridge; a daughter, Lynn Marie Zerr of Coon Rapids, Minnesota; two sons: Robert Scott (Kathy) Zerr of Aberdeen, South Dakota, and Daniel Raymond (Maureen) Zerr of White Bear Lake, Minnesota; one brother, Donnie Zerr of Watertown, South Dakota; and his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents John and Eva Zerr and one brother Dwayne Zerr.
