Peggy A. Buchanan

Peggy A. Buchanan, 71, of Aberdeen, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2020, at Sanford Aberdeen Medical Center.

Her graveside committal service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 3, 2020, at Riverside Cemetery in Aberdeen.  Pastor Blair Kirkpatrick, of Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ, will officiate.

Schriver's Memorial Mortuary and Crematory, 414 5th Avenue NW, Aberdeen, is in charge of arrangements.

Peggy A. Buchanan was born October 13, 1949, to Donald and Romana (Crawford) Buchanan in Aberdeen, SD.  This is the area where she was raised and attended public schools.  

Following graduation from Aberdeen Central High School, Peggy began working at Control Data, where she was employed for many years.  She then worked for Sheldahl Inc. in Aberdeen and remained with them until the business closed.  Most recently, Peggy was employed at Aberdeen Health and Rehab, where she continued working until 2014, at which time she retired.  

Peggy found enjoyment doing cross-stitch and working on arts and crafts projects in her spare time.  She continued to make Aberdeen her home until the time of her death.

Grateful for sharing Peggy’s life are her siblings:  Dan Buchanan, Gale Buchanan, Mike Buchanan and Penny Buchanan, all of Aberdeen.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Jim; and two nieces.

Honorary Pallbearers at Peggy’s committal service will be all of her family and friends.
