Paul F. Jung

Paul F. Jung, 62, of Aberdeen, SD, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at Avera St Luke’s Hospital.

A Memorial Service will be 11 a.m.  Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Schriver’s Funeral Chapel with Paul’s nephew, Shane Jung officiating. Following the service, a time of fellowship and a luncheon will be at Schriver’s Memorial Fellowship Center.

Visitation will be one hour before the Memorial Service.

Burial is at Sunset Mausoleum at a later date.

Paul F. Jung was born on September 9, 1960, to Leo and Delores (Buechler) Jung in Aberdeen.  Paul was raised on the family farm near Westport.  He attended grade school in Barnard, SD, and attended high school in Frederick, SD graduating in 1978.  Following graduation, Paul began working for L & O Acres.

Paul married Sherry Yrdanoff in Aberdeen on December 31, 1986. They were happily married for over 37 years. He continued to work for L & O Acres for over 40 years until his retirement. Paul enjoyed working outside in his garden, and in his earlier years, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. 

Grateful for having shared Paul’s life are his wife, Sherry; one daughter Jennifer (Chris) Allison of Aberdeen; five brothers:  Mike (Susie) Jung of Aberdeen, Dave (Brenda) of Enemy Swim, SD, Mark (Tricia) Jung of Bath, SD, Jim (Audra) Jung of Aberdeen, and Roger (Charlene) Jung of Ypsilanti, ND; four sisters:  Arlene (Jeff) Bertsch of Aberdeen, Carol (Curt) Kempf of Aberdeen, Marie Gehring of Aberdeen, and Sandy Feick of Aberdeen; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

 Paul was preceded in death by his parents; one sister Alice Hepola; and one brother Bob Jung.

The family requests casual dress for Paul’s service.

Honorary pallbearers are all his coworkers at L & O acres.
