Mitchell Lee Tarbox was born to Lori Wipf on December 3, 1997, in Aberdeen. He grew up with his older brother Tyler, and the boys later welcomed their younger sister Lauren to join the crew.  Growing up Mitch was a stubborn spitfire who was always on the go. He found joy in the outdoors, and on weekends could be found helping his grandpa Milton tend to the sheep and help on the farm.

Mitch attended Simmons Elementary School and found his love for sports including baseball, football, and most importantly wrestling.  He wasn’t afraid to try anything, and learned after one season of basketball, that wasn’t for him.  He then attended middle school at Simmons Junior High and completed his schooling graduating from Central High School.

Mitch never had an issue talking to strangers, and in turn made many, many friends along the way.  The three things Mitch cared about most were his family first, his beloved friends, and his dogs Sage and King.  Most of the time he may secretly have favored his dogs.  Mitch was always one to drop whatever he was doing in an instant to help his family and friends with whatever they needed.  He always was a protector to those he loved, especially the ones that were near and dear to his heart. Mitch had an infectious smile and a loud laugh, and that little twinkle in his eye could light up any room even in the darkest of times.

Mitch worked a variety of jobs throughout his journey from farming with his grandpa, working in the food industry, construction, different handyman jobs, plumbing, and putting in docks with Jamie Pulfrey and his friends. In his spare time, Mitch found joy in the finer things in life.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cruising the streets, especially with his dog King.  If Mitch couldn’t find anything to do, he would just come knock on your door and pay a visit.

Mitch will be remembered and missed by all of us but will continue to live on in our hearts and memories forever.

Grateful for having shared Mitch’s life are his mom Lori (George Brotherton) Wipf; father, Simon Wipf; brother, Tyler; sister, Lauren; grandparents, Linda and Dennis Schmierer; many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and last but not least his beloved dogs Sage and King.

Mitch’s family would like to specifically thank Dr. Steve Redmond for all of his care and support throughout Mitchell’s years.  Also, a special thank you to his friend Jamie Pulfrey who was always a positive role model and constant companion to Mitch.  An additional thank you to our Sanford family and to our family and friends for their help and care during this difficult time.

The family requests casual attire dress for the services as Mitch would prefer.
