Mary Lou Weber was born May 21, 1945, to Jake and Josephine (Schmitt) Mastel in Aberdeen, SD. She attended Holy Cross Catholic School in Ipswich, SD and graduated from Ipswich High School in May of 1964.
Mary Lou married her high school sweetheart, Robert “Bob” Weber, in Ipswich on June 27, 1964. She enjoyed working in the day care field and, later in life, at Subway, all in Aberdeen. Mary Lou moved to Delaware in 2007, where she continued to reside until the time of her death.
Mary Lou was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aberdeen, where she was active in teaching CCD. In her spare time, she enjoyed doing word finds, and playing cards and Mahjong with her friends. Mary Lou also enjoyed visiting with family and friends and loved a good conversation. Her favorite color was purple and when she moved in with her daughter and family, they had to paint her room purple. Above all, Mary Lou’s family was her world and there was nothing she wouldn't do for them. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy.
She is survived by her daughters: Jenny (David) Pernell of Plainfield, NJ, Audra Evans of Pierre, SD and Rebecca (John) Tinger of Magnolia, DE; and seven grandchildren whom she adored: Ryan, Justin and Anthony Pernell, Jade and Taylor Evans and Johnathon and Gabriella Tinger.
In addition to her parents, Mary Lou was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Weber, in 2002; one infant daughter, Renee; four brothers: Peter, Leo, Anthony “Tony” and Ronald “Ronnie” Mastel; and one sister, Josephine Bauer.
