Mary K. Kreuger, 93, of St. John, Indiana and formerly of Aberdeen, South Dakota, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at her son’s home in St. John.
Her private family graveside committal service will be Thursday, February 11, 2021, at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Aberdeen, with Father Michael Griffin officiating.
Schriver’s Memorial Mortuary & Crematory, 414 5th Avenue NW, Aberdeen, is in charge of arrangements.

Mary Katherine Johnson was born March 23, 1927, to Walter S. and Mary “Lena” M. (Waldt) Johnson in Aberdeen, SD. She attended St. Mary’s Parochial School and graduated from Aberdeen Central High School with the Class of 1945.
Mary was united in marriage to Gerald B. Kreuger on October 17, 1949, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aberdeen. They made Hazel Crest, Illinois their home for over 60 years and Mary kept busy being a homemaker, wife, and mother of their nine children.
In her spare time, Mary enjoyed gardening, sewing, knitting and baking.
Blessed to have shared Mary’s life are her children: Gerald (Jamie) Kreuger, Mary Hall, David (Christine) Kreuger, Douglas (Deborah) Kreuger, Donald (Carmen) Kreuger, Kenneth (Carol) Kreuger, Loraine (Douglas) Francis, and Thomas (Barbara) Kreuger; her daughter-in-law, Janet Kreuger; 32 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Janice Norby and Walter Johnson.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Kreuger, one son, Robert Kreuger, her parents, Walter and Mary; one sister, Phyllis Johnson; son-in-law, Larry Hall; brother-in-law, Clare Norby; and sister-in-law, Linda Johnson.
