Mary Dahl, 80, of Aberdeen, SD passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021 at Avera Mother Joseph Manor, Aberdeen.
Memorial Service is 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 10, 2021 at Schriver's Memorial Mortuary, Aberdeen.
Visitation is one hour prior to the service at the mortuary.
Burial will be at a later date Greenwood Cemetery, Mobridge.

Mary Dahl was born March 12, 1941 and grew up in Mobridge with her parents, John and Naoma (Heier) Aman. Mary graduated from Mobridge High School in 1959. She later attended beautician school in Sioux Falls. She worked as a hairdresser for several years in the Mobridge area. She married Wayne Mitzel on November 2, 1960. They later moved to California and she continued working as a hairdresser. She was united in marriage to Kermit Dahl on December 11, 1971 in California. They returned to South Dakota in 1976 and she worked at Aberdeen Child Care Center for 20 years. Mary also worked at Aberdeen Health and Rehab in the Helping Hands Department which gave her the opportunity to help take care of her father until she retired.
Mary always enjoyed playing cards and Yahtzee with friends and family.
Grateful for having shared her life are her daughters: Vicki (Tom) Croymans, Lisa Mitzel (Kyle Weiszhaar) and Julie Dahl, all of Aberdeen; brothers, Rolland (Bess) Aman and Tom (Danielle) Aman, both of Aberdeen; sister-in-law Shirley Aman of Spearfish, SD; grandchildren: Ryan Dahl, Jenna Croymans, and Makayla Dahl along with many nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, brother Merlyn Aman, and sister Barbara Apland.
