Margy E. Zacher, 92, of Aberdeen, SD, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at Avantara Groton.
Her funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 8, 2021, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 214 7th Avenue SW, Aberdeen, with Pastor Samuel Bobby officiating.
Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Aberdeen.
Schriver’s Memorial Mortuary & Crematory, 414 5th Avenue NW, Aberdeen, is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Thursday, January 7, 2021, at the mortuary, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.

Margy Ellen Gramlow was born September 20, 1928, to Fred and Dagmar (Anderson) Gramlow in Aberdeen, at St. Luke’s Hospital, as Oakes, North Dakota did not have a hospital. She attended rural country grade school at Clement, ND. In 1946, Margy graduated from Oakes High School before attending business college in Valley City, ND. She was employed as a bookkeeper.
On May 16, 1959, Margy married Ben Zacher of Aberdeen, where they made their home. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and was active in the LWML, the Publicity Circle as well as the Quilting Guild. Margy and Ben shared just over 48 years together before he passed away on May 19, 2007. Margy continued to reside in Aberdeen until 2018, when she became a resident of a nursing home in Groton.
Survivors include three daughters: Diane (William) Toby of Rockville Centre, NY, Beverly (Doug) Arens of Mesa, AZ and Bonnie (Roger) Thorson of Willmar, MN. Margy was also the proud grandmother of her two grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben; her parents, two brothers and one sister.
