Louise Ellen Yucker was born June 17, 1927 in Aberdeen, SD, to Lloyd and Helen (Clark) Yuker.  She married the love of her life, Ordean Voight, in Ipswich, SD, on September 25, 1947. Louise and Dean had five children: Shereen, Jean, Ordean “Orie”, Cindy and Jill. They made their home in Aberdeen, SD.  Together they owned and operated the Club 23 in Aberdeen and the Club in Mellette.  They moved to Mina, SD in 1977.  Dean passed away in 1998 and Louise continued to make Mina Lake her home until 2019.

In addition to helping her husband at the Club 23, Louise later worked at Walmart in Aberdeen.  Louise served as the president of the Mickey Mouse Club which was a service organization that raised money for charities. She loved to garden, cook, and read.  Louise was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother who delighted in seeing and spending time with her family.  Louise will be remembered for her quick wit and sense of humor that was enjoyed by her entire family and all of her friends.

Grateful for having shared her life are her children: Shereen Docktor of Aberdeen, Jean (David) Beckel of Aberdeen, Ordean “Orie” (Jane) Voight of Lakeville, MN, Cindy Gebhardt of Minot, ND, and Jill (Craig) Smith of Torrington, WY; fifteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; two nieces and a nephew.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Dean, parents, her sister, Darlene Manz, half-brother, Aloyis Yuker, and two sons-in-law, Joe Docktor and Jerry Gebhardt.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Avera at Home Hospice or the Alzheimer’s Association.
