Lawrence J. Wolf, 95, of Aberdeen, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at Avera Mother Joseph Manor in Aberdeen.
Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, January 29, 2018, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 409 3rd Avenue SE, Aberdeen, with Father Barry Reuwsaat as celebrant.
Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Schriver’s Memorial Mortuary and Crematory, 414 5th Avenue NW, Aberdeen, is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be 5-6 p.m., Sunday, at the mortuary, with a liturgical wake service beginning at 6:00 p.m. Visitation continues one hour prior to Mass at the church on Monday.

Lawrence J. Wolf was born June 18, 1922, to John and Anna (Miller) Wolf in Hillsview, SD. This is the area where he was raised and attended school.
Lawrence was united in marriage to Florence Imberi at Hillsview on September 29, 1947. The couple made Hillsview their home, where he owned and operated the Hillsview Liquor Store. In 1959, they moved to Aberdeen and Lawrence became employed as a mechanic with Montgomery Ward. He continued working there until the time of his retirement in 1985 and continued to reside in Aberdeen until the time of his death.
Lawrence was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church whose faith was very important to him.
Blessed to have shared in Lawrence’s life is his wife of 70 years, Florence Wolf of Aberdeen; four sons: Gregory Wolf (special friend, Cheryl Finstad) of Aberdeen, Tobias (Kathy) Wolf of Aberdeen, Dominic (Tracy) Wolf of Nemo, SD and Nicholas (Marcie) Wolf of Richfield, MN; four grandchildren: Milissa Wolf, Jennifer (Jay) Kurth, Matthew Wolf and Nicole Wolf; five great-grandchildren: Anna Moser, Blaise Kurth, Boden Kurth, George Jegela and Giana Jegela; one brother, Pius (Kathy) Wolf; three sisters: Pauline Rohrich, Frances (Dick) Hunter and Maggie Saunders; two sisters-in-law, Helen Imberi and Sr. Georgianne Imberi; and special friends: Carol Wolf and Harley and Dixie Allbee.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Paul Wolf; and two sisters, Helen Imbery and Theresa Imberi.
