Jerry Lee Fiedler, 78, of Bath, SD, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls.
Memorial service is 4:00 p.m., Monday, May 17, 2021 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Aberdeen with Rev. Leland Armbright officiating.

Jerry was born on October 29, 1942, in Aberdeen, SD, to Samuel and Myrtle (Crawford) Fiedler. He graduated from Aberdeen Central High School in 1960. Following graduation from Automotive Mechanical School in Omaha, NE, he returned to Aberdeen and pursued a lifetime passion of repairing automobiles. In addition, Jerry worked full time as a USPS rural mail carrier from 1979 until his death.
Jerry was united in marriage to Judi Schwahn, from which their son, James, blessed their lives. He was later united in marriage to Helen Lyman and the births of daughter, Deon, and son, Cordell completed the family.
Jerry was a loving and giving son, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend to anyone he met. He was a devoted Harley Davidson motorcycle rider and enjoyed biking trips throughout the United States with his friends and family. He looked forward to his annual trek to Sturgis, which he did for over 50 years.
Left to cherish Jerry’s memory are his son, James Fiedler, Morehead, MN; daughter, Deon (Brett) Blang, New Braunfels, TX; son, Cordell Fiedler, West Virginia; Thirteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren; sisters, Louise (Doug) Peterson, Connie Bell, and Ardell Fiedler; several nieces and nephews; and girlfriend, Melissa Bock. He was preceded in death by his parents.
