Jaymi Ann Hixon was born June 2, 1988, to Tim and Gayle Hixon at Avera St. Luke’s Hospital, Aberdeen. She grew up in Aberdeen attending OM Tiffany Elementary School, Holgate Junior High, and graduated from Aberdeen Central High School in 2007.

Jaymi’s passions were photography and art. She saw the beauty in everything. Jaymi loved to drive in the country with her music cranked and find old, abandoned houses to take pictures of and anything unique she could find. She loved thrifting, drawing, and spending time with her daughter and family. Jaymi was active in BMX starting at the age of five years old and won many trophies. She loved spending many summers at her grandparents’ house at Mina Lake, sitting on the dock and watching the sunsets. Above all, Jaymi was the kindest person to everyone and was always willing to help others.

January 15, 2019, was the highlight of Jaymi’s life when her daughter Haven EverlyRose was born. Haven and Jaymi loved to read, sit on the floor to do puzzles, play “house” and draw. They would take trips to Richmond Lake to walk the trails and take in nature. They would also like to go to parks and play.

Jaymi worked for her aunt at G & G Janitorial for many years, along with Photo Express, and for her sister-in-law, Tara’s daycare, until she became a stay-at-home mom.

Jaymi is survived by her daughter, Haven; mother, Gayle; brother, Ryan; sister-in-law, Tara; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Jaymi is preceded in death by her daughter, Everly; brother, Brandon; father, Tim; her maternal grandparents; paternal grandparents; three cousins; and her favorite dog Ibi.
