Ilene was united in marriage to Clarence Wilson in 1937. They moved to Iowa and farmed. They were blessed with three children: Walter, Wayne, and Linda. Soon after Linda was born, Ilene and the children moved back to Aberdeen where she started working for Tiffany Laundry and was employed there for 30 years.

Ilene was united in marriage to Oscar Weber in 1991.  Oscar passed away in 2000 and Ilene continued to make Aberdeen her home, including being a resident at Avera Mother Joseph Manor for 10 years.

Ilene was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where she was active in the Altar Society and Catholic Daughters of the Americas. She was also a member of the Women of The Moose.

Ilene enjoyed crafting, sewing, embroidering, and also loved to cook. She was known as the “Master of caramel rolls and twist bread”. Ilene was a Foster Grandparent for 10 years. She loved kids and especially enjoyed her time rocking and snuggling babies. Ilene also loved dancing at the Moose Lodge. She was very good at bringing people together and seeing the best in everybody.

Grateful for having shared Ilene’s life are her children: Walter (Judy) Wilson, Wayne (LaVerne) Wilson and Linda (Ron) Sahli; 12 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
