Gladys B. Preszler, 83, of Lidgerwood, ND, formerly of Aberdeen, passed away Friday, December 24, 2021 at Lidgerwood Dakota Estates Retirement Center.
Funeral Service is 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 31, 2021, at Schriver’s Memorial Mortuary and Crematory, Aberdeen with lay Pastor Ron Vetch officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
Burial is at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery.

Gladys B. Vetch was born on March 7th, 1938 in Roscoe, SD, to John and Elizabeth (Biernbaum) Vetch. She attended grades one through twelve at Roscoe Public School, graduating high school in 1957.
Gladys married the love of her life, Raymond D. Preszler, on June 2nd, 1957 at the Hosmer Reformed Church in Hosmer, SD. by Rev. Lenard Stockmeier. Two daughters were born to this union: Raylene and Karen.
The family farmed near Hosmer until 1965 when they moved to Aberdeen, SD. Gladys, wanting to care for their two children at home, opened and operated a day-care business in their home. She ran the daycare for 35 years before retiring in 2001.
Gladys loved cake decorating and collecting cookbooks. In 1990, Gladys put together a four-generation cookbook consisting of many family favorite recipes. In 2000, she put together another recipe/family history book. Gladys also enjoyed crocheting and embroidery.
Gladys is survived by her husband Ray; daughter Karen (Phillip) Freeman of Geneseo, ND; sister: Walburga Zambo of Gettysburg, SD; four special God-children: Michael Kraft of Britton, SD, Kathleen Beck of Rapid City, SD, Charlotte Endorf of Megnet, NE, and Karen (Bohling) Jung of Aberdeen, SD; many in-laws; many nieces and nephews.
Gladys was preceded in death by her daughter: Raylene; parents; grandparents; five sisters: Eva Vetch, Viola Hettich, Anna Mae Kraft, Iola Bradke, Bernice Buechler; four brothers: Lawrence Vetch, Johnnie J. Vetch, Paul Vetch, LeRoy Vetch; ten nieces and nephews.
