Floyd Jerold Naasz, 78, of Aberdeen, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2020, at Avera Mother Joseph Manor in Aberdeen.
His wishes were to be cremated. No formal services will be held.
Schriver’s Memorial Mortuary and Crematory, 414 5th Avenue NW, Aberdeen, is in charge of arrangements.

Floyd Jerold Naasz was born July 10, 1942, to Herbert and Ida (Buechler) Naasz on the family farm near Java, SD. This is the area where he was raised and attended school, graduating from Java High School with the Class of 1960.
Floyd was united in marriage to Lois M. Nehlich on June 8, 1961, in Aberdeen. Their union was blessed with a daughter and a son. The family made Aberdeen their life-long home, where Floyd’s entire career involved working with floor covering.
Floyd was a charter member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Aberdeen.
In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and was also an avid Minnesota Vikings and Twins fan.
Grateful for sharing Floyd’s life is his wife of 59 years, Lois Naasz of Aberdeen; his children, Sheryl Naasz of Devils Lake, ND and Steve (Robyn) Naasz of Maple Grove, MN; and two grandchildren, Alex and Emily Naasz; his siblings: Beverly (Duane) Schmidtgall, Arvis (Russell) Beyers, Carol Ann (Jerry) Arendsee, Moody (DeWayne) Naasz, Judy Mills, Marlys Brick and Dean (Vanessa) Naasz; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Floyd was preceded in death by his parents.
