Darla L Beaman

Darla L. Beaman, 49, of Bath, SD, passed away Monday, March 22, 2021, at Sanford USD Medical Center, in Sioux Falls, SD.

Darla’s wishes were to be cremated with a prayer service at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 24, 2021, at Schriver’s Memorial Mortuary, Aberdeen, with Pastor Jeff Whillock of Bethlehem Lutheran Church officiating. A luncheon and continued celebration of her life will follow the service from 2:30-6:00 p.m. at Schriver’s Memorial Fellowship Center.

Darla LaRae Fahlsing was born January 7, 1972 to Susan L. Meech in Staples, Minnesota. The family moved to Aberdeen when she was 13 years old. Darla graduated from Aberdeen Central High School in 1990. She then went to Presentation College, and graduated in 1996. She was united in marriage to Doug Linder in 1991. Darla was employed at 3M in Aberdeen for over 15 years.

Darla married the love of her life, Bryce Beaman, in 2009 and they resided in Bath, SD. Her favorite job was working with Ernie Kusler at Kusler’s Sinclair Gas Station. Darla loved her puppies and spending time in her yard and flower gardens. She also enjoyed going on bike trips with Bryce, quilting, and bonfires.

Darla is survived by her husband, Bryce Beaman; parents, Lyle and Susan Smith; parents-in-law, Floyd “Sonnie” and Diane Beaman; daughter, Jazmin Fahlsing; granddaughter, Nevaeh Fahlsing-Smith; sister, Darcy Roettele; brothers, Darin Fahlsing and Neale Fahlsing; and many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Shelby Linder; step-son, Adam Linder; nephew, Mitchell Morrison; and brother-in-law, Terry Roettele.
