Blaine E. Steinhouse, 56, of Aberdeen, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2019, at Avera St. Luke’s Hospital in Aberdeen. His wishes were to be cremated.
His memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, June 29, 2019, at George Boom Funeral Home, 3408 East 10th Street, Sioux Falls, SD.
Schriver’s Memorial Mortuary and Crematory, 414 5th Avenue NW, Aberdeen, is in charge of arrangements.

Blaine E. Steinhouse was born April 14, 1963, to Delbert and Mary Millie (McDonald) Steinhouse in Moorhead, MN. At a young age, Blaine and his family moved to Sioux Falls, SD, where he attended school and graduated from Washington High School.
Blaine enlisted in the United States Navy on August 3,1981 and served his country until August 2, 1985, when he received his Honorable Discharge.
Blaine then returned to Sioux Falls and married in 1994. Out of that union one daughter, Emily, was born.
Blaine worked for Rain Soft as an installer for several years before beginning employment as a Concrete Foreman with Beck and Hofer Construction. In 2002, Blaine and his family moved to Aberdeen, where he worked for Jacob’s Construction as a heavy equipment operator and a welder. He was also employed with several other construction companies in the area until he became disabled. Blaine continued to make Aberdeen his home until the time of his death.
In his spare time, Blaine loved hunting, especially with his nephews. He was also an avid fisherman who was very proud of the Trophy Bass he had caught. Blaine also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, as well as watching dirt track racing and spending time with family and friends.
Blaine is survived by his daughter, Emily Steinhouse, his mother Millie Steinhouse, and his brother, Steve (Lisa) Steinhouse, all of Sioux Falls; his sister, Cindy (Paul) Kock of Custer, SD; his nieces and nephews: Christopher Erdmann of Wetonka, SD, Matthew and Andrew Steinhouse of Sioux Falls, Robert Erdmann of Highmore, SD and Lindsay Kock of Custer, SD; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Blaine’s father and grandparents preceded him in death.
