Obituary

Angela Schilling, 95, of Aberdeen, SD, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Angelhaus, Aberdeen, SD.

Funeral Service is 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 20, 2023, at Schriver’s Memorial Chapel, Aberdeen, with Father Michael Kapperman officiating.

Burial will be at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery, Leola, SD at a later date. 

Visitation will be 4-5 p.m., Sunday, at the mortuary. Visitation continues one hour before the service at the mortuary. 

Schriver’s Memorial Mortuary and Crematory, 414 5th Avenue NW, Aberdeen, is in charge of arrangements.  Family and friends may sign the online guestbook at www.schriversmemorial.com.

Angela Kessler was born on April 24, 1927, to John and Magdalena (Stephan) Kessler in Leola, SD. She attended Leola High School and graduated in 1945.

Angela was united in marriage to Oscar Schilling on October 26, 1948, in Leola, SD. They moved to Aberdeen, SD, in April of 2004. Oscar passed away in October 2009 and Angela continued to make Aberdeen her home.

Angela loved spending time at their cabin on the Missouri River and playing cards.

Angela is survived by her son, Roger Schilling of St. Bonifacius, Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Celestine; and her son, Robert.
