Yvonne “Bonnie” D. Schile, 82, of Aberdeen, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2019, at Avera Mother Joseph Manor in Aberdeen.

Her funeral service will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at Schriver’s Memorial Mortuary and Crematory, 414 5th Ave., NW, Aberdeen, with Fr. Michael Griffin officiating.

A luncheon and time of fellowship will immediately follow the service at Schriver’s Memorial Fellowship Center.

Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery at a later date.

Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, at the mortuary, with a liturgical wake service and rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m.  Visitation continues one hour before the service on Wednesday.

Yvonne Delores Boeckman was born June 27, 1936 to Joseph and Ida (Becker) Boeckman in Dupree, SD.  She lived on a farm near Eagle Butte, SD and went to first grade there before moving to Aberdeen with her family in 1944.  Yvonne then attended Sacred Heart Catholic School through the ninth grade and graduated from Aberdeen Central High School in 1954. She furthered her education at Northern State University for three years and was employed at Kessler’s during her high school and college years.

Yvonne married Donald Schile on June 1, 1957 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Aberdeen, where she was a member.  She then joined St. Mary’s Parish after their marriage.  The couple made Aberdeen their home, where Yvonne was employed at Feinstein’s Ready-to-Wear for 15 years, before she had to retire for health reasons.  She and Don shared over 51 years of marriage and raised four children together before he passed away in November of 2008.  Yvonne continued to make Aberdeen her home until the time of her death.

Blessed to have shared in Yvonne’s life are her children:  Susan (Mike) Eman of Bismarck, ND, Cindy (Jeff) Sudlow of Aberdeen, Robert (Sandy) Schile of Apple Valley, MN and Sandy Schoenbeck of Sioux Falls, SD; 11 grandchildren:  Christy (Guy) Hulscher, Valerie (Jason) Huber, Daniel (Michelle) Eberhart, Sheila Eberhart, Kayla (Cole) Robertson, Kelsey (Morgan) Young, Taylor Schile, Conner Schile, Luke (Ashley) Harr, Justin (Katy) Sudlow, and Austin Schoenbeck; 15 great-grandchildren; one brother, Dr. Clifford Boeckman of Greenville, SC; and one sister, Dorothy McClelland of Mooresville, NC.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Schile; and her parents, Joseph and Ida Boeckman.
