William "Bill" Walz

William "Bill" Walz, 74, of Aberdeen, SD, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at his home.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 13, 2026, at Schriver’s Memorial Chapel. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service.

Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery following the service.

A time for luncheon and fellowship will take place at Schriver’s Fellowship Hall following the burial.

William “Bill” Walz was born to Harold and Frances (Schaub) Walz on August 13, 1951, in Aberdeen, South Dakota. He grew up in Ipswich, SD, and attended elementary school at Holy Cross School. He moved to Aberdeen when he was a freshman and attended Roncalli High School, where he graduated in 1969.

After high school, he attended Northern State University and earned a business degree. He worked for the Federal Government as a budget and program analyst for many years.

Bill always enjoyed being around his many nieces, nephews, and their children.

Bill is survived by his siblings, Nancy (Borden) Thomas and Dr. Bradley (Peggy) Walz.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Pat DeVos and Flo Guhin.
