Bill Klein was born November 2, 1950, in Aberdeen, SD to Andrew and Lena (Malsom) Klein.  He was raised in Aberdeen and attended St. Mary’s Parochial School. He graduated from Roncalli High School in 1969.  Bill’s graduating class was the first class to attend all four years at Roncalli High School.

Bill then attended Northern State University in Aberdeen.  He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in math and teaching.  He then began his student teaching at Faulkton, SD.  Bill began his professional teaching career at Wolsey, SD.  He then taught for several years in Egan, SD.  He then moved to Chamberlain, where he taught high school math for many years. Bill also was an assistant football coach and enjoyed helping coach teenagers. He enjoyed his nicknames from students and teens he coached over the years; many called him “Sebe” or “Coach.”

Bill enjoyed his years teaching, but unfortunately incurred a stroke at age 54, and was forced to retire.  Retirement led Bill back to his birthplace; Aberdeen, where he spent his final years. He enjoyed playing cards, board games, collecting baseball cards, and watching all sports.
