Wanethe L. Siegler, 96, of Aberdeen, SD, passed away Monday, February 17, 2025 at Avera Mother Joseph Manor.
A Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Schriver's Memorial Chapel, with Pastor Jonathon Molan of Freedom Church officiating.
Visitation will be one hour before the service.
Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery following the service.
A time for fellowship and luncheon will follow the interment back at Schriver's Memorial Fellowship Center.

Wanethe L. Siegler, daughter of Gustave and Martha (Henke) Lieske, was born on November 30, 1928, 20 miles northeast of Ashley in McIntosh County. She grew up on the family farm and was educated in rural schools.
Wanethe married Johnny G. Siegler on December 4, 1949, in Fredonia, ND. They farmed in the Kulm and Forbes, ND areas before moving to Aberdeen in 1957. Wanethe was a stay-at-home mother and worked part-time as a housekeeper for several families in the Aberdeen area.
Wanethe enjoyed gardening, sewing, and crocheting. She enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins and was a wonderful cook. Her grandchildren always enjoyed her dumplings, knoephla, strudels, and kuchen.
Wanethe is survived by her daughter, Corliss (Fred) Klungseth of Bellevue, NE; sister, Loretta Cherinko of San Diego, CA; three grandchildren: Stacy (Tim) Williams of Omaha, NE, Jenny Hiracheta of Bellevue, NE, and Brittany (Gary) Everett of Aberdeen, SD; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and special friend, Tina Hubert.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Johnny G. Siegler; son, Michael “Ziggy” Siegler; four brothers; and one sister.
