Vincent "Vince" Lickfelt

Vincent "Vince" Lickfelt, 68, of Aberdeen, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at Avera St. Luke's Hospital in Aberdeen.

Mass of Christian burial will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 21, 2016, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 409 2nd Avenue NE, Aberdeen, with Father Michael Griffin as Celebrant.

Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Aberdeen.

Schriver's Memorial Mortuary and Crematory, 414 5th Avenue NW, Aberdeen, is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be 3-5 p.m., Sunday, at the mortuary, with a liturgical wake service at 5:00 p.m. Visitation continues one hour prior to Mass at church on Monday.

Vincent Lickfelt was born on February 25, 1948, in Aberdeen, SD to Elmer and Helen (Weron) Lickfelt. He attended country school from the first to eighth grade and graduated from Aberdeen Central High School in 1966.

Vince was employed as a cook at various restaurants including The Blue Buffalo, and most recently, the Millstone Restaurant in Aberdeen. He also worked at Animal Health and Aberdeen Livestock for many years.

In his spare time, Vince enjoyed attending rodeos and Northern State basketball games. He especially loved being outdoors and spending time with his dog, "Buster".

Vince is survived by his children: Stacy Lickfelt of Aberdeen, Lance (Melissa) Lickfelt of Aberdeen, Chad (Christine) Lickfelt of Andover, MN, Justin Lickfelt of Rapid City, SD, Jamie Lickfelt of Aberdeen, Jason Lickfelt of Minneapolis, MN, and Jared Lickfelt of Yankton, SD; four siblings: Vivian (Vern) Cunningham of Aberdeen, Jim (Linda) Lickfelt of Aberdeen, Marge (Rick) Heinrich of Aberdeen, and Genevieve Kumpf of Fargo, ND; one sister-in-law, Darlene Lickfelt of Aberdeen; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild due in June.

Vincent is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jerome Lickfelt; one sister, Evelyn Bruckner; one nephew, Ryland Lickfelt and one brother-in-law, Leonard Bruckner.
