Todd Henry Weig, 54, Leola, South Dakota passed away December 26, 2018 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls.

Funeral services are 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at St. James Lutheran Church in Leola.

Burial is at Green Mound Cemetery, Leola.

Schriver’s Memorial Mortuary and Crematory, 414 5th Avenue NW, Aberdeen, is handling arrangements.

Visitation is 5-7 p.m., Monday at the mortuary, with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 p.m. Visitation continues one hour before the service at the church on Tuesday.

Todd was born March 21, 1964 to Jim Weig and Sylvia (Bettmann) Regnier in Aberdeen, SD. In 1978 Todd and his family moved to Leola, SD, where he graduated from Leola High School in 1982. He graduated from Lake Area Vo-Tech in 1984 with a Diesel Technology Degree. Todd worked in Lebanon, SD as a mechanic. He worked for Barbarosa & Sons with his father Bernard Regnier as a loader operator. Todd’s passion for tinkering started at a young age and continued through his entire life. Racing, collecting cars and trucks were his hobbies.

Todd married the love of his life Marla Maroney on November 30, 1991. Together they raised two children Austin and Amber. Todd joined Crawford MS&F in 1992. Ranching and spending time with family were his passions. He was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church. Todd was a very hard worker and would do anything for anyone at any time. He took great pride in his family, work, ranch, and everyday life. He always put everyone and everything before himself.

Todd survived by his wife, Marla; children, Austin (Jessica Hahn) and Amber; mother, Sylvia (Mike Wolf) Regnier; brothers; Wayne (Donna), Joel (Sheri), Troy (Wendi), Trent (Lacey), and Jade (Julie); and his mother-in-law, Betty Maroney.

Preceding Todd in death is his father, James; brother, Mark; and step-father, Bernie Regnier.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family.
