Tim Barrows was born on April 11, 1962, in Faulkton, South Dakota, to Kenneth and Madonna Rae (Joyce) Barrows. Tim lived a life that reminded those around him that happiness can be found in the simplest things. Although he faced many challenges throughout his life, he never lost his enthusiasm for living, his love for people, or his ability to bring a smile to someone’s face.

If there was one thing Tim truly loved, it was people. He never met a stranger, and everyone he met had the opportunity to become a friend. Tim had an incredible memory for names and took great pride in collecting addresses and phone numbers in his many treasured address books. Once you met Tim, chances were he would remember you for years to come. Staying connected with people brought him so much happiness.

Tim also had a special love for animals, flowers, and the color red. He found joy in collecting recipes and sharing them with others, often giving away his latest finds. These simple pleasures were a reflection of who Tim was—someone who loved to share, connect, and find happiness in the world around him.

For many years, Tim made his home at Aspire in Aberdeen, South Dakota, where he was surrounded by people who became an important part of his life and loved him dearly. His family is grateful for the care, kindness, and friendships he experienced throughout his years there.

One of the most touching things Tim shared was his wish to go to Heaven and see his grandma again. There is comfort in knowing that Tim is now at peace, free from the challenges he faced here on earth, and reunited with the loved ones who went before him.

Tim is survived by his sisters: Joyce Barrows of Waconia, Minnesota, and Julie (Greg) Fischbach of Warner, South Dakota; his nieces, Cheyenne Davis of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Keeley (Ryder) Fuhrman of Tea, South Dakota, and Ashley (Tyler) Ogle of Aberdeen, South Dakota; and his great-nephews, Greyson Ogle of Aberdeen, South Dakota, and Jerricho Davis of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Donna Barrows; his brother, Troy Barrows; his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Carrie Joyce; and his paternal grandparents, Reverend Douglas and Catherine Barrows.

Tim’s life is a beautiful reminder that a person’s impact is not measured by the obstacles they overcome, but by the love they give, the friendships they make, and the joy they bring into the lives of others.

Rest peacefully, Tim. May heaven be filled with beautiful flowers, everything red, familiar faces, and the loving arms of Grandma waiting to welcome you home.

You were loved, and you will never be forgotten.
