Thomas John Bucaro, 64, of Aberdeen, SD, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, while doing what he loved most, working.
Memorial Service for Thomas will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 3, 2022, at Schriver’s Memorial Chapel with Military Honors. Pastor Mike Jacobsen will be officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the mortuary.

Thomas John Bucaro was born in Chicago, Illinois, on October 27, 1957, to Anthony Bucaro and Patricia Lander. He attended school in Addison, IL, and received his GED before enlisting in the armed forces. Thomas was stationed in Alabama, New Jersey, and overseas in Germany, where his duties as a power generator mechanic and utility helicopter repair technician won him an M16 aircraft crewman’s badge leading to an honorable discharge.
In 1989, he welcomed his beautiful daughter, Sarah, whom he shared with his former spouse, Patricia (Davis) Bucaro. Thomas was employed at Kyburz-Carlson Construction Company for many years and was still employed with them at the time of his death.
Thomas’ favorite sport was bowling. He often played at local bowling alleys, where he won several tournaments. He was a problem-solver who often took on difficult projects at work. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
Thomas is survived by his daughter, Sarah (Craig) Giang; his sisters, Karen Bucaro-Udowitch and Catherine Bucaro; and brothers, Timothy Bucaro and Todd Bucaro; and two grandchildren.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Tony.
