Terry R. Jackson

Terry Jackson 75, of Aberdeen, SD, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at Sanford Medical Center, Aberdeen.

Visitation and a time of sharing will be at Schriver's Memorial Fellowship Center, 1- 3 p.m., Saturday, December 3, 2022.

Terry Ray Jackson was born March 12th, 1947 to Harold Ray Jackson and Ann Marie (Palmer) Jackson in Walla Walla, Washington. Terry grew up in Mellette SD. He started at a young age in the meat business at O'Donnell's locker in 1959. Terry graduated from Northwestern High School in 1965 and then entered the Army. Terry married Mary Ann Gilman on February 18th, 1970. United in their marriage, they had four children: Raymond, Tammy, Robert, and Sheryl. They divorced in 1986.

During Terry's life, he became a greatly known butcher for Tonners Meat Center and continued that line of work. In his retirement Terry worked at various casinos, later he enjoyed going to visit Peggy at the Corner Casino on Fridays where they would solve the day's problems. Terry would spend days at the Pub visiting Sheryl and Sherrie, where he enjoyed the company of all of his friends and having drinks. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, golfing, bowling, and playing horseshoes.

Terry is survived by his children: Raymond (Jennifer) Jackson of Sergeant Bluff Iowa, Tammy (Devlin) Reasy of Baudette MN, Robert (Shanna) Jackson of Aberdeen SD, and Sheryl (Ryan) Kraft of Ipswich, SD; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He is proceeded in death by his parents and a sister.
