Terry Michael Hettich

Funeral Services for Terry M. Hettich, 59, of Aberdeen, and formerly of Roscoe, SD, will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 9, 2014, at Schriver's Memorial Mortuary and Crematory, 414 5th Avenue NW, Aberdeen, with Glenn Gasser and Jacob Nelson presiding. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Aberdeen. A time of fellowship and luncheon will follow the service at Schriver's Memorial Fellowship Center.

Visitation will be 4-6 p.m., Sunday, June 8, 2014 at the mortuary and one hour prior to the service Monday. Friends may sign his online guestbook at schriversmemorial.com.

Terry passed away Friday, June 6, 2014, at Avera St. Luke's Hospital in Aberdeen.

Terry Michael Hettich was born on November 6, 1954 to Willard and Rose (Daane) Hettich at Faulkton, SD. He passed June 6, 2014 of heart failure at Avera St. Luke's Hopsital in Aberdeen, SD.

Terry grew up on the family farm southwest of Roscoe, SD. In 1973 he graduated from Roscoe High School. He attended Lake Area Vo Tech graduating with a degree as an automotive mechanic.

Terry married Debra Bruse in Aberdeen on April 5, 1980.

In 1991 he professed to serve God and daily strove to keep that commitment.

Throughout his life he farmed, raced cars, owned and operated trucks & heavy equipment, and bought & sold machinery.

He is survived by one brother: Randy (Toni) Hettich, Bath; four sisters: Susan Hettich; Linda (Terry) Wendt, Brookings; Marilyn (Gary) Surratt, Denver; and Julie Harley, Rapid City. He is also survived by nieces and nephews: Joel, Jeb, and TeAnna Hettich; Stacy and Jody Wendt; Crystal (Surratt) Genteman and Bradley Surratt.

Preceding him in death are his parents, grandparents, and infant nephew, Jesse Hettich.
