Sophie Helen Ann Langbehn

Sophie Langbehn, 20, of Aberdeen, SD, passed away on February 27, 2025.

A Celebration of Life Service was held in Florida on March 5th, and a private family ceremony was held at Schriver’s Memorial Chapel on April 5th.

Sophie Helen Ann Langbehn was born on March 13, 2004, in Aurora, Illinois to Todd and Ann (Kiefer) Langbehn.  Sophie joined a sister, Hannah, and brother, Max.  Sophie and her family moved to Aberdeen, SD, in 2007, where she attended May Overby Elementary, Simmons Middle School, and Aberdeen Central HS, graduating in May 2022.

Upon graduating, Sophie attended Augsburg University in Minneapolis, MN, for one year, and in August 2023, Sophie moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida; she was attending Broward College and living in Davie, Florida, at the time of her death.

Sophie is survived by her dog, Milie; her parents, Todd & Ann Langbehn; sister, Hannah (Mario Barrios) Langbehn; brother, Max Langbehn; grandmother, Karen Kiefer; and many special uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Sophie was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Jim Kiefer; paternal grandparents, Norman and Helen Langbehn; and her special godmother, Aunt Linda Kathner.
