Rosemarie “Rosie” Nina Theresa Conley was born December 29, 1953, to Vincent and Waltraud (Winkelman) Conley in Frankfurt, Germany. In 1955, the family made the big move across the world to Sioux City, Iowa.

Rosie attended school in Sioux City and graduated high school in 1971. After graduation, she started work as a mortgage loan officer. On July 13, 1973, Rosie married Jeff Byrne. From this union came one daughter, Kelli, in 1976. Rosie worked at Banko and later Norwest Bank in Sioux City for many years. This is where she met her future husband, Charles Habhab. They together moved to Aberdeen in 1988 and Rosie started working at Clark Title as a mortgage loan closer.

Rosie was united in marriage to Charles “Charlie” Habhab on August 20, 1989. She continued working at Clark Title for twenty years and retired in 2010. The couple continued to make Aberdeen their home.

In her retirement, Rosie and Charlie loved traveling together, watching many sunsets on numerous ocean beaches. Charlie will forever cherish these memories. Rosie loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending their many school activities.

Grateful for having shared Rosie’s life are her husband of 33 years, Charlie; daughter, Kelli (Andy) Van Steenwyk of Aberdeen, SD; two grandchildren: Drake and Carter Van Steenwyk; one sister, Dixie Kuhnemund of Hamburg, Germany; and one niece, Liv (Michael) Zolondek of Germany.

Rosie was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Jeff; and two infant twin daughters.
