April 16, 1928 — December 27, 2013

Mass of Christian Burial for Rose Weber, 85, Aberdeen, will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 30, 2013, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 409 2nd Avenue NE, Aberdeen, with Father J. Joseph Holzhauser, Celebrant. Burial will take place at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.

Schriver's Memorial Mortuary & Crematory, 414 5th Avenue NW, Aberdeen, is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be 3-5 p.m., Sunday, at the mortuary, with a Liturgical Wake Service at 5:00 p.m. Visitation continues one hour prior to Mass at the church on Monday.

Rose passed away Friday, December 27, 2013 at Avera St. Luke's Hospital, Aberdeen, SD.

Rose Schwab was born April 16, 1928 to Igidie and Agatha (Mitzel) Schwab in Strasburg, ND. She attended country school before the family moved to Aberdeen, SD.

Rose and Jake J. Weber were united in marriage November 13, 1947 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Aberdeen. They continued to make Aberdeen their home and raised their family.

She enjoyed dancing, playing cards, visiting with family and friends.

Rose is preceded in death by her, parents, husband, one son Mark, one daughter Terri Baumann. Her brothers, Mathias, Peter, John, Bernard and Larry Schwab and her sisters, Barbara Raver, Regina Baumgartner, Elizabeth Schwab, Bertha Schaffer, Veronica Brendel and O'tillia Mrozek.

Grateful to have shared in Rose's life are her children, Sandra (Dr. H.C.) Peterson, Jr. of Sioux Falls, SD, Cheryl (John) Ulrickson of West Fargo, ND, Ronald (Vikki) Weber of Fort Collins, CO, Mary (Peter) Carrels of Aberdeen, SD, Suzy (Roger) Effertz of Kirkwood, MO, Mike Weber of Watertown, SD, and Shelly (Dan) Rausch of Sioux Falls, SD. Her grandchildren, Jacob Weber, Sara (and friend Danny) Owen, Sonja (Brady) Butenhoff, Emily (Mike) Leech, Michael Baumann, Zachary and Jacob Carrels, Daniel, Dominic, Mark and Madeleine Rausch, and Phillip Effertz. Six great grandchildren, and her many relatives and friends.
