Ronald Boulais

Ronald D. Boulais, 76, of Aberdeen, SD, passed away on Friday, June 13, 2025, at Avera St. Luke's Hospital.

A Funeral Service will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at Schriver’s Memorial Chapel, with Pastor Jay Rossman of Holy Cross Lutheran Church officiating.

A time of fellowship and luncheon will follow the service at Schriver’s Memorial Fellowship Center.

Burial with Military Honors will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens following the lunch.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Monday, June 23, at Schriver’s Memorial Chapel. Visitation continues one hour before the service.

The family requests casual dress.

Schriver’s Memorial Mortuary and Crematory, 414 5th Avenue NW, Aberdeen, is in charge of arrangements. Family and friends may sign the online guestbook at www.schriversmemorial.com. Services will be recorded and posted on Schriver’s website following the service.

Ronald D. Boulais was born on November 8, 1948, in Aberdeen, SD, to Dwain and Beverly (Rux) Boulais. He was raised and attended public schools in Aberdeen. Ronald graduated from Aberdeen Central High School in 1967.

Ronald entered the United States Air Force in 1969 and served in Vietnam and Hawaii. After being honorably discharged in 1975, Ronald worked at the Pearl Harbor shipyard.

In 1982, Ronald returned to Aberdeen and met his future wife, Penny. They were united in marriage on November 11, 2003. They made Aberdeen their lifelong home.

Ron enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He also had a love for cats and especially dogs. Ron worked at the United States Post Office and retired in 2009.

Survivors include his wife, Penny; brother Randy (Regi) Boulais; niece, Kari (Preston) Cooling and their children Declan, Lia, and Hallie; and nephew, Scott (Rachael) Boulais and their children Pierce and Josephine.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
