Robert R. Iverson was born on April 30, 1960, to Lealand and Kathryn (Erickson) Iverson in St. Paul, MN. In 1973 they moved to the family farm in Doland, SD. Bob attended high school in Doland and graduated high school in 1978. He then attended Mitchell Vocational school and graduated in 1981 as an Electrician.
Bob married the love of his life, Jeanine Wolf on August 29, 1981, in Aberdeen, SD. They were blessed with two beautiful children, Melanie and Nicholas. Together they raised their family in Bath, SD. Bob spent his career as an Electrician working at Ringgenberg Electric, and Glacial Lakes energy in Aberdeen, SD. He also volunteered with the Bath Volunteer Fire Department for more than fifteen years. While volunteering, he served as Fire Chief for many years. Bob retired from Glacial Lakes energy after 25 years.
Bob was the master of all things. He loved to help people with projects of any type or size. He could figure out how to fix anything and everything. He liked to spend his free time camping and sitting by the campfire, traveling, hunting, and fishing. He also loved hosting family and friends and spending time at the lake where he grilled delicious meals. Bob found tremendous joy in Spending time with his family; especially his grandchildren Ashton, Annabel, and Liam. They were quite the team building Legos, lighting off fireworks, fishing, and playing in the lake. He cherished and absolutely loved every moment with his grandkids.
Grateful for having shared Bob’s wife of 41 years, Jeanine of Bath, SD; his two children: Melanie (Aaron) Murra of Horace, ND, and Nicholas (Aubrey) Iverson of Aberdeen, SD; three grandchildren: Ashton and Annabel Murra, and Liam Iverson; his father Lealand Iverson of Doland, SD; his sister Juanita (Vince) Adrian of Marion, SD, and Gordon (Annette) Iverson of Doland, SD. Bob is also survived by many brothers and sisters-in-law, aunts and uncles, and nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his mother Kathryn Iverson.
Bob has requested that his celebration of life be kept casual and to dress in true Bob fashion, to wear blue jeans and a button-down shirt.
