Rickie L. Grabinski, 70, of Aberdeen, SD, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Avera St. Luke's Hospital.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 16, 2026, at Schriver's Memorial Chapel, with Pastor Kelly Riggan of the Ellendale Church of Nazarene officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service.
A time for fellowship and lunch will follow at Schriver's Memorial Fellowship Center.

Rickie was born on July 2, 1955, in Faulkton, SD, to Francis and Sharon (Gabriel) Grabinski. He attended Rockham Elementary School and Faulkton High School.
Rickie began his working years on the family farm in Rockham. He later became a co-owner of the Bottle Shop in Redfield, SD. Over the years, Rick built a long and respected career in heavy equipment construction. Most recently, he was employed by B&B Contracting, where he dedicated 15 years of service. Rick was known for his willingness to mentor new coworkers, always taking them under their wing and teaching them the trade.
On June 18, 1977, Rickie married Brenda Jessen in Redfield, SD. Together, they were blessed with one son, Jay.
Rick has a passion for hunting and fishing. He cherished time with family and friends. In his younger years, Rickie drove stock car #172 and enjoyed cheering on his niece, Jayla, who played softball for the past seven years. Above all, Rick treasured time with his grandchildren, Aspen and Leighton. He was easy to talk to, kind-hearted, and a friend to everyone he met.
Grateful for having shared Rickie’s life are his son, Jay Grabinski; his special friend, Marge Rohrbach; his sisters, Brenda Jervis and Sheryl (John) Henry; his brother, Mike Grabinski; his grandchildren, Aspen Grabinski and Leighton Kalkman; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Sharon; sister, Pam Grabinski; brothers, John Grabinski and Terry Grabinski; maternal and paternal grandparents; as well as aunts and uncles.
Rick will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his love of family, and the many lives he touched through his kindness and mentorship.
