Reuben was born on April 29, 1935, in Victoria, North Dakota, to August and Bertha (Breitling) Miller, one of six children. He grew up on the family farm, where he learned the value of hard work, family, and perseverance—qualities he carried with him throughout his life.

Reuben was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, veteran, and friend. He was married to the love of his life, Alice Miller, for 64 years. Together, they raised two sons, Todd and Troy, and built a life centered around family.

Reuben was a retired veteran who spent many years working hard and providing for his family. After leaving the family farm, he went on to work a number of jobs, including as part owner of Office Equipment and later as a driver for Hedahls Parts.

Reuben truly enjoyed the simple things in life, especially the time he spent with family and friends. He loved fishing and spent countless hours on the water, often surrounded by the people he cared about most. He took great pride in his fishing boat and enjoyed every opportunity to get out on the water. Many special memories were made during those fishing trips, sharing stories, laughs, and time together.

Reuben also loved playing pool. Whether at the senior center or out at the bars with family, he enjoyed the friendly competition and the company that came with it. He had a way of making those ordinary moments into memories that his family and friends will treasure.

One of Reuben's greatest joys was his family. He was especially proud of his grandchildren and loved watching and supporting them at their sporting events. He cherished every opportunity to spend time with them and was always there to encourage them and cheer them on.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 64 years, Alice Miller; his brother, Joe Miller; his sons, Todd (Michelle) Miller and Troy Miller; his grandchildren, Seth Miller, Zoie Miller, and Ty Miller; along with extended family and many friends who will remember him fondly.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Ted and Leo; his sisters, Janette and his twin sister Ruth; and his daughter-in-law, Lori Miller.

Reuben will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for his kind heart, his love of family, his fishing trips, his pool games, and the many memories he created with those around him. His legacy lives on through the family he loved so dearly and the countless moments of laughter, friendship, and togetherness he shared throughout his 91 years.
