Randy was born to Richard and Mathilda Weisz in Eureka, SD, on May 19, 1943. He spent his childhood on the family farm alongside five siblings: Alvin, Philip, Merle, Lorena, and Adina.

Randy was united in marriage to Cherrie Weisz on April 25th, 1987, in Hecla, SD.

Randy was the kind of person who brought authenticity and sincerity to everything he did. His commitment to farming for over three decades reflects a deep connection to the land and a strong work ethic. It's admirable how he valued the simple things in life and found joy in nature's beauty.

Randy’s loyalty to Sperry Farms speaks volumes about his character in an era where such dedication can be rare. His passion for sports, especially for the Green Bay Packers, Northern State Wolves, and Roncalli Cavaliers, shows he was not only hardworking but also knew how to enjoy life's pleasures. Randy's interests in farming and sports were deeply intertwined, reflecting a balanced and fulfilling life.

The image of Randy with a smile on his face, enjoying coffee chats with friends at Bath Quick-stop and Ken's Fairway, paints a picture of someone who found happiness in the simple pleasures of life and valued the company of those around him. Spending Sundays watching football and sharing a PBR with him was a tradition filled with warmth and lasting friendships.

Overall, Randy's story is a reminder of the importance of finding joy in the little things. Randy was the kind of person who left a lasting impression on everyone he met. For years you could stop in on a Sunday at Kens and count on seeing Randy enjoying football and conversation with friends.

Randy is survived by his wife of 37 years, Cherrie, of Bath, SD, and stepdaughters Shirelle (Mark) Stadel and Shanda (Bill) Bragg. Randy was previously married and is survived by his five children: Wanda (Terry) Block, Scott (Jill) Weisz, Kim (Marc) Runnels, Michael Weisz & Kandi (Carl) Weismantel. Randy is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; four siblings Alvin (Kathy) Weisz, Merle (Linda) Weisz, Lorena (Ronnie) Knoepfle, and Adina (Ray) Rohrbach; and one sister-in-law Jodi Weisz.
