Patricia “Pat” Ellen Waltman, 88, of Aberdeen, SD, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at Avera Nano Nagle Village Hospice Care, surrounded by her family.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Pat will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 29, 2023, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Aberdeen, with Father Jeffrey Schulte officiating.
A time of fellowship and luncheon will follow Mass at the parish hall.
Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Thursday, Dec 28, at the mortuary, with a liturgical wake at 7 p.m. Visitation continues one hour before Mass at the church.

Patricia “Pat” Ellen Farley was born on March 17, 1935, to James and Gertrude (Lorber) Farley in Aberdeen, SD. She attended grade school in Wetonka and graduated from Leola High School.
Pat married her lifelong partner and friend, Henry Waltman, on April 3, 1956, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aberdeen, an extra memorable day due to a spring blizzard. The pair made their home in Aberdeen and were blessed with two daughters.
Pat was an active lifetime member of St. Mary’s and faith was foremost in her life. She worked at Sears and Roebuck Store and then at Avera St. Luke’s business office for 34 years.
Pat enjoyed camping, crafts, and crocheted many, many hand towels for her loved ones and friends. She doted on her two grandsons and did not miss any of the many events they were involved in.
Pat is survived by her loving husband, Hank; two daughters, Becky (Brian) Jacobson and Deb Cleveland; two grandsons, Darren (Jayden) Cleveland and Derek Cleveland; one sister, Mary (Rudy) Cornay; and many in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Joan Walter and Jean Hauck; and son-in-law Darrel Cleveland.
