Parker Eugene Syhre

Parker Eugene Syhre, age 4, passed away Sunday, January 31, 2021, while in the arms of his family.

His private memorial service, for family and close friends, will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 13, 2021, at First United Methodist Church, 502 South Lincoln Street, Aberdeen, with Pastor Derek Baum and Pastor Mike Waldrop officiating.

Memorial visitation, open to the public , will be 5:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, February 12, 2021, at Schriver’s Memorial Mortuary & Crematory, 414 5th Avenue NW, Aberdeen, with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 p.m.

Parker’s family respectfully requests the use of masks at his services.

Parker Eugene Syhre was born on February 3, 2016, in Aberdeen, SD to Toby and Ashley (Quiram) Syhre.  He was full of life and never allowed his illness to slow him down. Parker was a special boy.

From a very young age, Parker loved cars.  Some of his favorite toys were his cars and monster trucks.  He also loved dinosaurs, TMNT and Superheros.  Above all, Parker loved spending time with his family, especially his brothers, who were his best friends, his cousins, and daycare friends.  His smile, bravery, strength and courage has touched the hearts of thousands. Parker brought such joy to his family and all that knew him.

Parker will be forever remembered and loved by his parents, Toby and Ashley; his big brother, Kole and little brother, Gavin; grandparents:  Doug and Deb Quiram, Ann and Bob Rowe, DeWayne Syhre and Ladeen Sandve; his aunts and uncles:  Tami and Russ Crosby, Todd and Angela Syhre, Troy and Dawn Syhre, Serena Quiram and Missy Bumpous; his great-grandmother, Dorothy Syhre; along with many great-aunts, great-uncles, and cousins.

He was met at Heaven’s gates by his great-grandparents:  Clayton and Kathy LeGrand, Maynard Syhre, and Arnold and Lydia McCarlson.

Parker’s family wishes to thank all the amazing nurses, therapists, doctors and child life specialists for the incredible care given to Parker.  He loved running the hallways, having scavenger hunts, and scaring his nurses with his dinosaurs.
