Miranda P. Biegler (known to many as “Teenie”, which she much preferred to Miranda) was born on June 8, 1920, to John and Anna (Derzab) Biegler on the family farm in the rural Richmond Lake area of Brown County. This is the area where she was raised and received her education.
Teenie married Robert Jacob Dobrick on October 6, 1940, in Aberdeen. Together they had three children: Kathleen, Robert Paul, and John. The family made Aberdeen their home. Teenie and Robert shared 54 years of marriage before he passed away on October 14, 1994. Teenie continued to be a life-long resident of Aberdeen until the time of her death.
Teenie’s faith was very important to her. She was a life-long member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aberdeen, where she was involved in Catholic Daughters and the Altar Society. Teenie spent many hours volunteering at church activities, especially the annual church bazaar.
Blessed to have shared in Teenie’s life are her children: Kathleen Nelson of Springfield, MO, Robert P. (Jill) Dobrick of Shoreview, MN and John Dobrick of Dallas, TX; four grandchildren: Robert (Michelle) Nelson and Daniel Nelson, both of Springfield, MO, Sarah Dobrick of Minneapolis, MN and Thomas Dobrick of Duluth, MN; and one great-granddaughter, Whitney Nelson of Springfield, MO.
Teenie is preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Dobrick; her parents, eight sisters, and one son-in-law, Bill Nelson.
