Michelle was born in Glendale, California and lived in several areas with her military family. She trained as a surgical technician with United States Army and served in the Army Reserve.

Michelle married Dr. Patrick Miller on June 25, 2010. Together they had two beautiful children: Cole and Savanna. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. Michelle loved her family more than anything. She made friends with strangers, was a giver to many, and a lover of life. Michelle had a passion for photography and was an extremely talented amateur photographer.

She served on the Safe Harbor Foundation Board, and was active in the Aberdeen Area Autism Spectrum Disorder Parent Support Group, where she helped to increase awareness of Autism Spectrum disorders. When Michelle heard a person or organization was in need, she found a way to help. She was selfless in all that she did. Every day our hearts will ache for the woman that touched so many. She gave her all and asked nothing in return. We remember her smile, her laugh, her grace, her generosity and her heart.

Michelle is survived by her loving husband, Patrick Miller; son, Cole; daughter, Savanna; stepsons: Vincent and Lance; her mother and stepfather, Cheryl and James Harpel; and her brother, Christopher Ivy.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials be sent to Safe Harbor, 310 South Kline St, Aberdeen, SD 57401.
