Micheal Sloan Lilly (Brick)

Micheal Sloan Lilly (Brick), age 27, of St. Paul, Minnesota, passed away at his home on Sunday, January 19, 2025, with his furry companion, Anton, beside him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

The family prefers memorials be sent in lieu of flowers.

Micheal Sloan Lilly was born on February 3, 1997, to Danika Swanson and Brian Lilly. He was raised by Danika and Jason Brick in Aberdeen, SD, and graduated from Aberdeen Central High School in 2015.

Mike grew up in Aberdeen, SD, and loved spending time outdoors. He played soccer throughout school and enjoyed hiking, snowboarding, hunting, and fishing. He often took pictures of the birds he hunted and the fish he caught. Mike always found joy in exploring nature. Special memories were made during the many hunting trips he shared with his grandpa, Larry Brick. Mike’s uncle, Landon, gave him a drum set, and it quickly became a big part of his life. He took lessons for a couple of years and loved creating music.

To everyone’s surprise, Mike found a passion for cooking. He began learning the ropes in Aberdeen, then took his skills to Custer, SD, and then to Montana. For the past six years, he’s worked as a chef in St. Paul, MN, turning his love for food into a rewarding career. Micheal was a great kid and will be missed by everyone.

Micheal is survived by his mother, Danika (Jason) Brick; one brother, Hunter (Paige Lanour) Brick; bonus sister, Maddie Larson; grandparents, John (Renea Logan) Swanson; and grandparents Larry & Loretta Brick; uncle, Landon (Ericka) Swanson; aunt, Jamie (Matt) Lombardi; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special friend, Micky Sierra. Special thank you to good friends Tammy Logan and Kirsten Albee for all their help.

He was preceded in death by his Grandma, Twila Suhrer Swanson, and his great-grandparents.
